Feel-good party rapper Flo Rida was one of the best-selling artists of the 2000’s, notching a handful of international hit singles and billboard chart-toppers.
Unsurprisingly a native Floridian, the MC toured as a teenager with 2 Live Crew’s Fresh Kid Ice and began popping up on high-profile mixtapes by 2006, joining the likes of DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Trick Daddy among others. After being signed to Atlantic – distributed Poe Boy in 2006 he went on to record Mail On Sunday in 2008 featuring the album’s title song “Low” with T-Pain which quickly reached the top of the billboard hot 100. A year later he released the album r.o.o.t.s. featuring the massive hit club track “Right Round” which introduced the world to new artist Kesha.
His subsequent albums, 2010’s only one Flo (part 1) and 2012’s Wild Ones, also charted on the US billboard 200 chart. Flo Rida has sold over 100 million digital downloads, making him one of the best-selling music artists.
